Letting Go Ceremony

This was a very fun, yet a moving event. Where we "let go" of those things that no longer serves us.  During the ceremony we select experiences or thoughts that have held us back and write them down on a paper.

We select a stone and decorate it with how things can be, or how we wish them to be and then wrap the paper around the stone.

Once this package is created we state our intentions and place the stone package in the fire.

We gather and watch the paper burn away into nothing. Sometimes the paper burns quickly, and other times the paper takes up to an hour to burn away.

We celebrate this moment with each other, as sisters. We take time to share with each other our lives, and create community. It is a rewarding experience.

After "what no longer serve us" has burnt away we are left with our stone decorated in our truth.

We watched my paper slowly burn. It was a very long apology letter sent to me full of blame and hate, I choose to write my own words of truth over it. It took an hour to finally release its hold on my stone. We affectionately called my stone the "Potato of Truth".

We all have something we can let go of. I look forward to our next event. <3
